M_Id_421809_Honour_killingNEW DELHI: Delhi Police claim to have busted the murder mystery of 56-year-old Daljeet Singh with the arrest of his daughter and two of her boyfriends who allegedly killed him in cold blood in Khayala area of west Delhi.

23-year-old Kulvinder Kaur alias Nikki killed her father on the intervening night of April 29 and 30 with the help of Prince Sandhu (22) and Ashok Sharma alias Manish alias Goku (23). Kaur confessed to committing crime because she was being repeatedly sexually assaulted by her father after the death of her mother three years ago, said Ranvir Singh, additional commissioner of police, West District.

Daljeet’s unrecognizable body, which was in a very bad state, was found near a canal in Khayala by police on the morning of April 30. It took two days to identify the body.

Kuldeep and her male friends were arrested separately within a week of the crime.

During interrogation, police said, Kulvinder revealed that she had opened the door of her house on the fateful night to allow Sandhu and Sharma to get in. After entering the house, they overpowered Daljeet who was sleeping with Kulvinder’s help and then attacked him with a cricket wicket. Making it more gruesome, they opened Daljeet’s chest with a broken sharp-edged glass and took out the pacemaker to ensure his death.

Police have recovered the cricket wicket (weapon of offence), blood-stained clothes, cable wire, mobile phones of the deceased and the accused and the white Innova car having blood stains which was used to dump the body.

Inder Kumar

MUMBAI: Days after his arrest for allegedly raping a model and physically assaulting her, Bollywood actor Inder Kumar’s wife Pallavi Kumar Sarraf has claimed that her husband is innocent. Pallavi addressed a press conference in Mumbai yesterday claiming that her Inder has been falsely framed.

“She (the model) claims that she was raped on the 23rd and 24th. If someone is held captive and getting raped, that person won’t move in and out of the apartment, go out and get alcohol. Have a party and order food from outside,” she said.

Actor Inder Kumar was sent to police custody on Saturday for allegedly raping an upcoming model. Pallavai, who is hell bent to prove that Inder is innocent, admitted, “I agree my husband slipped. Any man would, no one is a saint here. There are many in the industry who do this. Some affairs come out some don’t. It’s his bad luck that someone wants to destroy him.”

Pallavi is confident that the truth will come out by the 30th of this month and they will be applying for bail right after. The model is admitted at Cooper hospital currently.

In the light of his fling with the model, Pallavi had left the house and had started living with her mother who resides in the same building.

The actor, who is considered to be close friend of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, has worked in Bollywood movies like ‘Wanted,’ ‘Maa Tujhhe Salaam,’ ‘Baaghi,’ ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi,’ ‘Tum Ko Naa Bhool Payenge’ and ‘Masoom’, among others.

School teacher Raped

NEW DELHI: In yet another incident of sexual harassment in Vasant Vihar-based Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Indian capital New Delhi, a woman teacher has alleged that she was molested by her principal and the secretary of the management committee of the school.

The complainant, who is working with the school as a sports teacher, has alleged that the manager of the school, Vijay Daulat, has been calling her to his house and asking her to come out with him since 2012. She has also alleged that the principal, Abhijeet Bose, once called her to his cabin and praised her dress and even called her “sexy”.

She said Daulat called her to the principal’s office on March 14 this year and made her sit on the sofa. “He was talking about my T-shirt and then touched me inappropriately. When I objected, he said he was praising my fitness. He further told me to compromise to save my job. Since then, I have been under constant pressure from them,” she stated.

Following her complaint, the south district police have registered a case and began investigations. However, no arrests have been made so far. The FIR was registered on April 16.

Earlier this month, a former woman teacher, had leveled similar charges against three senior members of the management committee, including the principal. She had alleged that when she brought up the issue with the principal, he told her to comply as it would help expedite her promotion and, later, forcibly removed her from the job. She had also alleged that she was “sexually harassed” by Daulat in August last year after he called her to the principal’s office to discuss work and tried to make physical contact.

The spurt in militant activities is being seen as an attempt to keep people away from polling booths on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also condemned the militant attacks in Pulwama. He said that the decision to boycott polls should be based on conviction not fear.

Omar tweeted:

I unequivocally condemn the attacks in Pulwama that left three political works dead. By all means call for a boycott of the polls. 1/3

The decision to boycott should be based on conviction not fear. We don’t terrorise people to vote so why instil fear to enforce boycott 2/3

The use of violence is an acceptance of the weakness of your argument because you know that in the absence of fear people WILL vote 3/3

Woman cop files complaint of assault against BJP MLA in M.P.

Woman cops India

JABALPUR: A woman cop in Jabalpur has lodged a police case against BJP legislator Anchal Sonkar and four of his aides for allegedly assaulting her during the time of service.

The ruling party MLA from Jabalpur East, on the other hand, alleged that sub-inspector Nirupa Pandey used caste-related abusive language against him. Sonkar is also planning to file a counter police complaint against the cop.

The case pertains to arrest of Sonkar’s friendly neighbourhood bootlegger by Pandey. Annoyed by the arrest, a seething Sonkar, accompanied by supporters, first tried to intimidate Pandey, a SI on probation, and two of her subordinates, into submission and failing to do that finally ended up slapping the woman officer by the roadside.

The woman cop was ordered to free the accused, Durga Prasad Sonkar, a known bootlegger of the locality selling liquor to local men by the wayside. When she refused the party workers allegedly turned abusive and a slanging match between the police party and Sonkar and his men ensued.

A case under section 186 and 353 of Indian Penal Code was later registered against the MLA for criminal assault and intimidation of public servant during discharge of his/her duty.

Sonkar, a prominent BJP leader of the area, already has a chequered police record with 11 criminal cases pending against him.

The incident, meanwhile, has assumed a political colour after Congress joined the issue with Pandey
